Kitty and snake

0 lovely comments
This brass kitty ring was made for me. It reminds me of my kitty 'Poffertje.' And since I cant not wear her (trust me, I tried) this is the next best thing. The clutch is made of snakeskin and is probably from the thirties!

Some shoes

As a stylist, shoes are essential. Some outfits might work without shoes, but most of the times a look just doesn't seem to agree with me without several inches of shoe. That is why I always keep my eye out for the most spectacular heels. Here are some pictures of what I have in 'storage'...

Thrifting

I ADORE THRIFT STORES! I just love going through loads of sh*t to find that one special item. Today I found: a leather faux crocodile bag with gold handle, a leather clutch (no that one actually arrived in the post today and wasn't thrifted), a silk '50 scarf with floral pattern, an old nude coloured skirt to go under seethrough dresses/skirts and a lovely watch (that still works.) Everything together cost me a total of 25 euro's. Not too bad if you ask me!

Colour Blocking

1 lovely comments
The s/s 2011 colour blocking trend is incredibly popular and has been featured in every fashion magazine possible. I styled a colour blocking shoot myself, but I gave it a bit of an edgy twist to make it more 'me.' I think a lot of the coulour blocking you see is very 'plain and simple.' And although I think it's beautiful, after seeing 3/4 shoots that look exactly the same I decided my shoot was going to be a bit different. So I combined bright colours with patterns to make the overall look more interesting, for wich I used Suzanna Akopian designs.

Because I adore almost everything fashionable from the past, my latest shoot was based around original fifties/sixties beachwear. I styled the vintage items with pieces from the latest collections. The location for this shoot was a field filled with cherry trees!

Sun, sand and skin

The next shoot was produced on a véry hot saturday a few weeks ago. The clothes are a mix of Mariko Ferrier designs, vintage and high-street fashion. I didn't pick a trend this time, I worked with a palet instead. I love the colour coral, espescially combined with green.
